It provides positive impacts for additional traffic for aircraft. Due to that, the MIA needs a special airport transportation to encourage this facility, such as Railbus. Due to the railway construction consume a lot of cost, it is necessary to analyse its advantages and disadvantages. The purpose of this research is to carry out the economic feasibility of railway construction of the Minangkabau International Airport (MIA) in West Sumatera. This research focuses on the cost of railway construction, cost revenues from the carriage of passengers and economic feasibility analysis by using method of Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Break Even Point (BEP), sensitivity analysis and based on three travelling scenarios . The result of this study may also useful as a recommendation to the stakeholders. As a result, the cost Railbus investment is Rp. 133.731.000.000,-, by using an interest rate of 14%, is obtained for the first scenario NPV = – (Rp. 244.039.750.027), BCR = 0,37, IRR = -12,24% , the second scenario NPV = – (Rp. 98.635.136.798), BCR = 0,68, IRR = -12,43%, and the third scenario NPV = – (Rp. 11.887.591.183), BCR = 0,96, IRR = -20,01%.
