This research has done in plant’s laboratory field agriculture faculty University of Riau from March until July 2012. This research used completely randomized factorial design with two treatment factors and three replications. The first factor was source of the seed with three levels: S1= Asian Agri’s oil palm seed, S2= PPKS Medan’s oil palm seed, S3= Dami Mas’s oil palm seed. The second factor was vermicompost with four levels: K0= 0 g/ polybag, K1= 20 g/ polybag, K2= 40 g/ polybag, K3= 60 g/ polybag. The result showed that source of the seed significantly affect plant height increment parameter, root volume, seedling dry weight and seed quality index but non significant on accretion of leaves, stump diameter increment and ratio of the root crown. Vermicompost significantly affect plant height increment, accretion of leaves, stump diameter increment and seedling dry weight but non significant on root volume, ratio of the root crown and seed quality index. Interaction between the two treatments was non significant for all parameters.otherSource of the seedOil PalmVermicompostPengaruh Penggunaan Pupuk Kascing Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis jacq.)
