This research is an experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Data obtained from questionnaire of ARCS motivation, the indicators are attention, relevance, confidence and satisfaction. Collection of data taken from the beginning and the end of the learning process. Students' motivation data were analyzed through descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis showed that students' motivation to learn physics by applying outdoor study approach higher than learning in the classroom.
