This effort beef export is one of the KORUS FTA negotiations discussion, since they announced on January 2006 until it was signed on 30 July 2007. This research start from 2003 when Korea Government decided to imposed ban import on US beef after World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) found Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy on US beef. The Elimination of ban on beef imports from the United States carried out by South Korea agreed in January 2006 to enforce the rules of the protocol about beef imports for the United States. In analyzing this research apply the interdependence theory with national interest concept. The content of this research consist of four chapter which explain the relevancy between the lift ban import on US beef and the KORUS FTA. Beef exports to South Korea, including in major agricultural trade for the United States. The export market is very important for the U.S. beef industry. The influx of virus Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy in December 2003 on beef U.S. makes of South Korea the cover temporary beef imports from the United States.
