This research used descriptive correlative with cross sectional approach. Sample of this research taken using cluster sampling. This research’s sample composed of 121 elderly who live in South Tangkerang-Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru. Data were collected using Rosenberg self-esteem scale by Rosenberg (1995). Data then analyzed using chi-square with significance level of α 0,05. The results showed both group of the elderly who have a spouse 61 respondent (92.4%) and the elderly who do not have a spouse 54 people (81.8%) have high self-esteem (p value 0,137 > α 0,05). In conclusion, there is no relationship between the presence of a spouse with self-esteem in the elderly.
