The potential tourism that will be developed at this time is Geopark Silokek. Inside the Silokek area, the Batang Kuantan River flows with turbid water conditions and is brownish yellow in color. Based on this, a study was conducted which aimed to provide an overview of the Batang Kuantan River pollution and formulate a strategy for controlling pollution in an effort to realize the Geopark Silokek Region. The study was conducted in May - September 2018 in Sijunjung Regency. Data collection was carried out through interviews, literature studies, field observations and analyzed by SWOT. The results of the study concluded that there were several parameters that exceeded the quality standards : TSS, Cl2, H2S, Phenol, Hg, Total Coliform and Fecal Coliform which were thought from PETI activity, excavation C, fertilizer and pesticide residues from agriculture, domestic activities and etc. The strategies used include: optimizing the application of PP 82 of 2001, utilizing Pokdarwis support in managing the river environment, creating employment from the Tourism sector with the existence of the Geopark Region and establishing a Joint Secretariat between the Sijunjung Regency Government and Solok Regency GovernmentenBatang KuantanSWOTPETISilokek GeoparkStrategi Pengendalian Pencemaran Sungai Batang Kuantan Dalam Upaya Mendukung Kawasan Geopark Di Kabupaten SijunjungArticle
