The samples resulted from the synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles were characterized using Ultraviolet-Visible (Uv-Vis) Spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The UV-Vis spectrum of the sample shows strong absorption peaks that occurs over a range of wavelengths of 300-380 nm for all samples. The diffraction pattern of the XRD exhibits seven diffraction peaks that correspond to the hkl of hexagonal wurtzite structure. The highest peak intensity (the strongest line) is in the crystal plane (101). The FTIR spectrum displays absorbance peaks that represent the involvement of N-H and O-H functional groups derived from polyphenol compounds in the synthesis process. SEM images show the morphology of ZnO sample are mixed spherical and flower-like shape. The size of the nanoparticles obtained exceeds 100 nm and shows the evidence of agglomeration. The volume of the extract affects the energy gap, the size and shape of the ZnO particles.enZnO nanoparticlespineapple peelUV-VisXRDFTIRSEMANALISIS NANOPARTIKEL ZnO YANG DISINTESIS MENGGUNAKAN EKSTRAK KULIT NANAS (ANANAS COMOSUS)Article
