Research on the composition, morphology and magnetic properties of natural sand particles from Rokan River as a function of the vial speed . The sample of natural sand was collected with a mass of 10 Kg and then dried under the sun ray before the separation process between magnetic and non-magnetic particles using an Iron Sand Separator (ISS). The result of the separation with the Iron Sand Separator is called the ISS product. The ISS products were milled as a function the vial speed namely 100rpm, 150rpm and 200rpm. The number of milling balls used was 16 and are made of ceramic balls with diameter of 1.5 cm. The products of ball milling was then separated using Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB). The results of this study indicate the magnetic induction values of the samples ranged from 7,032-7,499 mT for the same current of 400 mA, while the magnetic susceptibility values obtained is around 34738,455 - 43686,529 × 10-5 . the elemental composition the ball milling products was carried out using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) The results showed that the Fe composition increased from 13.892% to 32.561% while the Si composition decreased from 56.53% to 38.556%. The morphological properties of the ball milling products was carried out using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The results showed that the particle size decreased from 1.583 m to 0.5028 m. The results showed that the optimum speed for the vial is at a speed of 200 rpm.ennatural sandIron Sand SeparatorBall MillingX-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)PENGARUH KECEPATAN PUTARAN TABUNG BALL MILLING TERHADAP KOMPOSISI MORFOLOGI DAN SUSEPTIBILITAS DARI PARTIKEL OKSIDA BESI PASIR ALAM SUNGAI ROKANArticle
