It is because of its abundant presence in the nature, a big and large surface, the high thermal stability, and the big exchange capacity of the cation. The purpose of this research was to determine the optimum stirring speed and temperature in methylene blue adsorption using Maredan nature clay. The method used in this research was methylene blue is adsorption. The characterization of Maredan nature clay was carried out before, after adsorption, and after regeneration using Fourrier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR). Based on the analysis result of Maredan nature clay using FTIR, it was found that in Maredan nature clay before the adsorption, there were some groups such as Si-O-Si, Si-O-Al, Al-O and –OH while in Maredan clay after adsorption, there were some groups such as Si-O-Si, Si-O-Al, Al-O, - OH, C=N, C=C and C-N. The optimum stirring speed and temperature in methylene blue adsorption using Maredan natural clay obtained respectively in 150 rpm and temperature 350C with adsorption efficiency amounted 98,1600%.enadsorbentclay and methylene blueOPTIMASI KECEPATAN PENGADUKAN DAN SUHU DALAM PENJERAPAN METHYLENE BLUE MENGGUNAKAN LEMPUNG MAREDANArticle
