In this research, an analogous chalcone of(E)-3-(4clorophenyl)-1-(3’,4’ dimetoxyphenyl) prop- 2-en-1-on wassynthesized using microwaveiradiation and natriumhidroxideas catalyst. Thecompound showed a goodyield,and then was characterizedbyUVspectroscopy,IR, 1 H-NMR,andMassSpectroscopy.Its toxicity hasbeenidentified usingBrineShrimpLethalityTest(BSLT) methodonArtemia salina Leach.
