dc.description.abstractA research on the study of the seasonal appearance of Plasma Bubble on Kototabang West Sumatra has been done using Airglow Imager for 2 years (January 2013- December 2014). This study aimed to characterize the impacts of ionospheric irregularities associated with plasma bubbles occurences on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). It was analysed the occurrence of plasma bubble in All-Sky Airglow Imager (ASI) images from 2013-2014, and found that the highest occurance rate obtained in July 2013 and March 2014, namely 3 and 7 plasmas. The occurrance rate was not due to geomagnetic storms, this claim was supported by statistically data that there was no changes in physical characteristics that was caused by geomagnetic storm. The highest probability of plasma bubble occurred in March , namely 45.49 % in 2013 and 38.10 % in September 2014. This was the difference of occurrence plasma bubbles because probability is duration time (in hours) the occurance of plasma bubbles and clear skies in the data All- Sky Imager ,which it was only focused on observation of the conditions of clear sky at night and see the emergence of plasma bubbles during periods of clear sky .en_US
