PENGARUH PENGETAHUAN LINGKUNGAN TERHADAP PERILAKU RAMAH LINGKUNGAN PADA SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 2 SAMARINDA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of environmental knowledge on students' environmentally friendly behavior. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Samarinda. This type of research is quantitative research by applying the correlational method. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique, with certain criteria that have been determined in order to obtain 30 respondents. Multiple choice tests applied for environmental knowledge variables and questionnaires for environmentally friendly variables. The results showed that the average score of environmental knowledge was 74 with a high category and the average score of environmentally friendly behavior was 76 with a moderate category. Simple regression test results indicate that there is an influence of environmental knowledge on students' environmentally friendly behavior, with a coefficient of determination of 22%. This figure shows that 22% of students' environmentally friendly behavior can be explained by their environmental knowledge. Therefore, to improve students environmentally friendly behavior, efforts should be made to include more assertive environmental knowledge in the curriculum and provide environmental facilities for students.
