dc.description.abstract This article discusses an iterative method derived by Ujevic's method to solve a nonlinear equation. Analytically using Taylor expansion and geometric series it is shown that the iterative methods have an order of convergence three. Numerical computations using four test functions show that the proposed method is better than other discussed methods in terms of the number of iterations required to ob- tain the approximate root of the nonlinear equations. en_US
