Abstract:
Ribu-ribu (Anisophyllea disticha (Jack) Bail) belongs to Anisophyllea family that usually lives in tropical forests and used as traditional medicine by the Talang Mamak tribe to treat headache. This study aims to isolate the secondary metabolites from the leaves of ethyl acetate extract as well as their toxicity level. Phytochemical analysis showed that the leaves contained saponins, steroids, terpenoids, and phenolics. The ethyl acetate extract was obtained by using maceration extraction. In addition, the LC50 value for ethyl acetate extract was 327.2 ppm. It was concluded that the ethyl acetate extract was toxic because the LC50 value is small from 1000 ppm.
