dc.description.abstract This article discusses a new scheme of an iterative method for finding a multiple root of a nonlinear equation with three functions and one first derivative evaluations. Analytically, it is shown that the iterative method has an eight convergence order. By choosing a specific weight function of the proposed method, a special case of the method is obtain. Some examples are given to see the performance of the discussed method compare to some known methods en_US
