dc.description.abstract This article presents a new family iterative method for nding a multiple root of nonlinear equation with known multiplicity. Analytically it is showed using a Taylors expansion, geometric series, and binomial series that the iterative method has fourth order of convergence. Two particular cases of the proposed method are also considered. Four numerical examples are given to show the performance of the presented method compared with some known methods. en_US
