Abstract:
An experiment has been conducted to study the effects giving of Vesicular
Arbuscular Mycorrhiza (VAM) to green mustard crop production and growth. The
experiment was done at experimental farm of agriculture Dept., University of
Riau, Rimbo Panjang, Pekanbaru., beginning on May untill July 2007. the
experiment was arranged in randomized block design using 1 factor of treatment;
application of VAM (control, 10, 15, 20, 30 g of inoculant plant ). Further
statistical test by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test at 5% level. The result
indicated that application of V A M significantly affected on plant height, amount
of leaf, leaf wide, production per plot, fresh heavy consumed crop, the percentage
of VAM infection, root coronet ratio and dry weight. The result of research
shows the giving of V AM 20 g plant give a good result for green mustard
production and growth.
