PEREMPUAN DALAM PEMERINTAHAN (Kajian Tentang Eksekutif Perempuan di Lingkungan Sekretariat Daerah Propinsi Kepulauan Riau)

Abstract

This research used qualitative approach and it is descriptive research. This research was conducted in Tanjungpinang. The focuses of this research were: 1) reasons of importance of the executive women empowerment, 2) starategies and steps done in the executive women empowerment. The technique of sampling is snow ball. Data used in this research are primary data taken from the in depth interview with the informants and the secondary data, which were taken from documentation and field observation results. Meanwhile the data analysis applied the interactive data analysis technique developed by miles and Huberman involving data reduction, data presentation and concluding remarks. By using methods above it was found that there are two reasons of why executive women empowerment is important: 1)because women and men have the equal opportunity to take a part in development and governments including to have a high position 2) because there is no difference in gender as stated in government role long time ago. Strategies done by executive women were to enrich or increase the education, there is a nice working atmosphere and support each other and to develop the ability to do a task and responsibility
