Abstract:
Background issue in this research were less active students in learning, students tend relax to
receiving study and students so less motivated in learning mathematics. In this implementation of
cooperative learning model Make A Match students were more motivated to learn in a group that
is looking for a partner while learning about a concept or topic, in a happiness atmosphere, in
addition to the training accuration too, precision and accuracy as well as speed. So that the
students more active in learning. This form research is classroom action research (CAR) with
research subjects the Student in fourth grade of SD Negeri 180 Pekanbaru academic year
2012/2013. The purpose of this research is to increase mathematics learning outcomes the
students fourth grade of SD Negeri 180 Pekanbaru with the cooperative learning model Make A
Match (for couples) implementation. The data in this research is the quantitative data obtained
from the data on the activities of teachers and students through observation and data tes t students
knowledge and understanding through daily test. Results of this research showed that the average
percentage of all teachers in the first cycle was 76.35% (Category: Good), the second cycle was
84.7% (Category: Very Good) and the third cycle is 94.4% (Category: Very Good). While the
percentage of students learning activity in the first cycle was 65.25% (Category: Enough), the
second cycle was 76.4% (Category: Good) and the third cycle to 93.05 % (Category: Very Good).
Average students learning outcomes in basic score is 66.91 increased to 77.18 in the first cycle,
increasing again to 80.9 in the second cycle and increased to 87.5 in the third cycle. While the
classical completeness in the second cycle and the third cycle is reached. This means that the
cooperative learning model Make A Match (for couples) implementation can increase
Mathematics learning outcomes the students in fourth grade of SD Negeri 180 Pekanbaru.
