dc.description.abstract Discipline is very important for teachers to perform their duties as educators and teachers. With discipline, teachers can carry out professional duties. One of the factors that can influence the teacher labor discipline are factors of work motivation, work motivation is something that comes because of the needs of both material and non-material in an effort to achieve organizational goals. Teachers who have high motivation to work will be more disciplined in carrying out the duties and obligations of the teachers who have low motivation. The research was conducted at SMAN 2 Pekanbaru to determine the effect of work motivation on work discipline teachers. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with a sample of 58 people. The data used in this study is primary data and secondary data collection techniques of data through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is to use a simple linear regression equations were processed through SPSS version 16.0. The results showed that there are significant between work motivation on work discipline teachers. It is based on the basis of the results of a simple linear regression is Y = 24.142 + 0.298 X. Effect of Work Motivation Discipline Teacher Working Against SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru can be seen from the regression coefficients in which direction the relationship is positive which means that if the motivation to work increased by 1 unit then the work discipline acquired by 0.298 units. From the results of the F test with an alpha of 5% is obtained F table at 4.01, while F count of 26.667. So F count> F table = 26.667> 4.01, which means that significantly influence the work motivation of teachers working discipline SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. In order to improve the discipline of the school especially the teachers' work should be able to provide the principal motivation of the teachers as creating a conducive working environment and fun, the delegation of authority and responsibility are clear, creating a climate of competence and cooperative and reward (Rewords) are clear of any success achieved by the teacher. For teachers themselves should have an awareness for teachers to motivate himself for work motivation effect on work discipline. People who have high work motivation would try his best to do his job, earnest, passionate, disciplined and responsible and can do their job properly. en_US
