Abstract:
This study aimed to know morphometrics and meristics of green-spotted pufferfish from
different habitat. Ninety green-spotted pufferfishs were sampled from the estuary of Pakning, Bengkel and Jangkang river from September 2012 to February 2013. Quantitative data was analyzed with Independent sample t-tes and regression analysis using Microsoft Excel and SPSS
Ver.16.0. The result showed that total lengths of green-spotted pufferfish from Pakning, Bengkel and Jangkang river range between 44-204 mm, 44-112 mm and 27-95 mm, respectively. The growth status of green-spotted pufferfish were allometric positive, allometric negative and isometric. Morphometric character ratio of the green-spotted pufferfish from Pakning and Jangkang river is significantly different. Independent sample t-test indicated that morphometric character ratio of the green-spotted pufferfish is significantly different from each location.
Beside, the meristic of green-spotted pufferfish from Pakning, Bengkel and Jangkang river is not significantly different.
