Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to determine the increase on the study of
students through cooperative learning student teams achievement divisions
(STAD) in mathematics class V SDN 013 Laboi Jaya of academic years
2012/2013. Subject were class V 22 students consisting of 11 male and 11 female.
The research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles through the
four stages : planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection
techniques in this study is the observation and test. Observation was done to
identify the weaknesses and deficiencies that occur in teacher during the learning
process, based on the results of observations conducted self-reflection to create a
new action plan to be implemented in the next cycle. Test a daily test at the end of
each cycle to see the development of the individual and the group. The results
showed an increase in mathematics achievement of students from low interval to a
higher interval. Frequency of students who obtained low scores there were 9
students on the basis of scores, the UH-I have 3 students, and the UH-II was
reduced to l students. High value on the basis of scores there, the UH-I have 6
students, and UH-II increased to 18 students can be seen in the frequency
distribution table. Additionally KKM achievement of students in the first cycle
also increased the percentage of baseline score 27,27% to 63,63%, and the second
cycle increased to 90,90%. In other words, the implementation of STAD
cooperative learning can improve learning outcomes of students of mathematics.
