Abstract:
The purpose of this study is 1) to know the description of self-concept school athletes,
2) do not know the description of the concept of self athletes; 3) determine whether or
not the differences between self-concept athletes who are not athletes. The number of
samples in this study were 93 consisting of 30 athletes and 63 not athletes. The method
used is descriptive. With the questionnaire data collection techniques and data analysis
technique used is the percentage of test and "t". This is the result o f data analysis There
are significant differences between self-concept school students with student athletes
not athlete and based on the mean difference of each group of subjects is known that the
mean of the self-concept school students are not athletes (204.11) away lower than the
mean self-concept school student athletes subdistrict (209.63). This shows the
differences in self-concept of the two groups of students. Where groups of students
school athlete concept itself is higher than the group of students who are not athletes.
