dc.description.abstract The study is titled “Validity test and Harmony Scale Reliability in The Student’s Family at SMAN 001 North Kampar TP. 2012/2013. This study aims to 1) Know how the level of harmony scale validity is in student’s family, and 2) to know how the level of harmony scale reliability is in student’s family. The benefit of this research is able to be a reference and evaluation for further researcher. The author also hope in order that this research is able to increase knowledge about the validity and reliability test for the readers of this thesis. In this research, Population and sample are students in X and XI classes of SMAN 001 North Kampar that numbered as many as 223 people, divided into 6 classes. The assumption in this study is 1) Not all students have a harmonious family, 2) students face the different problem in their family, 3) to measure the student’s levels of family harmony are needed valid and reliable family harmony scale. The data about Harmony in Family are obtained with scale-wriitten by the author. To definite the valid and not valid item with value equalation probability [Sig.(one-tailed)] with 95% level belief or 5% level significant (p=0,05, if value p [Sig.(one -tailed)] ≤ level significant 0,05, so the item is valid. The result of calculation obtained total item correlation (r xy) that ranged between (0,262 to 0,694). Of the 50 harmony scale item in family, the author get the result that all written-item by the author is valid, no one be failed. The conclusion of this research is 1). All items on a harmony scale in the family is declared valid, because r Hitung is larger than r Tabel . 2. This study is very reliable with a value of 0.930. This study recommends for further researcher to understand and explore the science of the Application Instrumentation, especially on test Validity and Reliability to avoid data. Trhough this study, the further researcher can also measure the other scales which are owing to the growth of the students and can make the scale which measures both at junior high school, senior high school, and student level. At the last, this study is able to add more subject of research. en_US
