Abstract:
Self-efficacy is one of the individual internal factors perceived as one of the critical
success factors in the performance to come. The high perceived self -efficacy a person would
motivate individuals to act more cognitively focused, especially if the goal is a clear goal,
which in turn will also improve learning outcomes. This research was conducted at the
Faculty of Economics of Education Student Teaching and Education Riau University. This
study aimed to determine the effect of self-efficacy on learning outcomes of students of the
Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Economics Education University of Riau.
Population of this study amounted to 76 people. The samples in this study were 40 people.
Data collection techniques that is uses a questionnaire distributed directly to students. The
analysis used is a simple linear regression analysis with a significance level of 5%. Data
processing were performed with SPSS version 16.0 for Windows.
Results of this study indicate that there is significant relationship between self-efficacy on learning outcomes of students of Economics Faculty of Teacher Education
University of Riau (2.064 t count> t table 1,68). Coefficient of determination (R2) obtained
0.103 points, or 10.3 percent. This means that the variable self-efficacy variables contribute
to explaining the learning outcomes of 10.3 percent. While the remaining 89.7 per cent is the
contribution of other variables outside of the study, such as the talents and interests of youth,
intelligence, discipline to learn, how teachers teach and other environmental variables. For
further research, it is advisable to examine these factors more influential on learning
outcomes and to improve learning outcomes. In this case self-efficacy must be recognized has
a big influence in an effort to improve learning outcomes. Economics of Education students
should improve again self-efficacy improved in order to better learning outcomes
