dc.description.abstract Leachate has organic substances potentially harmful to health so high that the human race, because it can serve as a medium for the growth and development of pathogenic microorganisms. This study aimed to determine the effect of coagulant Aluminum Sulfate concentration in the coagulation-flocculation, membrane resistance, flux and rejection percentages. In the coagulation-flocculation process coagulant Aluminum Sulfate concentration was varied to 20 ppm, 40 ppm and 60 ppm. In the process the process is done quickly stirring 200 rpm for 5 min and slow stirring 60 rpm for 15 minutes, then floc-floc formed precipitated for 30 minutes. The precipitate formed is separated and the clear liquid is fed to the ultrafiltration membrane. The survey results revealed allowance for BOD5, COD and TSS leachate with coagulation-flocculation process is effective at a concentration of 60 ppm which was 38.36% BOD5, 38.79% COD and 81.96% TSS. Likewise, the membrane resistance and membrane flux in ultrafiltration processes that produced the greatest concentration of 60 ppm. As well, the percentage of rejection of the largest ultrafiltration membranes produced at a concentration of 60 ppm is 48.88% BOD5, 48.21% COD and 36.36% TSS. en_US
