Abstract:
This research proplem by low zapin dance skills in students, this reason is the teacher teach using lecture menthod, and the teacher are not practicing the dance.The direction of this research is to improve the Zapin dance skills of fifth C grade SDN 165 Pekanbaru the application of the demonstration menthod. The subjects of this research is fifth C grade SDN 165 Pekanbaru by the number of 36 students, but the sufficient of object research is the Demonstration menthod to impove the Zapin dance skills. Based of the analysis of data, showing the average teacher activity at the first part at first cycle of 60,71% with enough categories, and increased in the second part at first cycle to 78,57%. With the good category and up to cycle II at the first part to at second part be able to 17,86%, and at second part of cycle II be able to 89,28% category very well, to cycle II at the first part be able to 10,71%. And at the second part cycle II and up to 96,42% category very well, the increasing cycle II at the first part to second part be able to 7,14%. An over all increase be able to 35,71%. With the average students activity cycle I at the first part is 57,14%, with the category enough and increased at the second part cycle to be 64,28%, at the first part of the cycle II to be 75% with good category. And second of seond cecle II be able to 85,71% with very good category. From the result of the activiies of teacher and students showed an increase. From the assesment result to showed the skills of zapin dance average value was 50,56, at assessment of zapin dance skills at the fitst cycle increaced, with an average value 0f 60,83. But the sufficient at the second cycle assessment zapin dance skills to increase again with the average value being 71,94. So, by using a demonstration menthod implementation can improved zapin dance skills
