Abstract:
This paper describes the bilateral cooperation the United States with Bolivia in
combating cocaine during the reign of president evo morales years 2006 to 2010. Bolivia is the
third largest producer of cocaine in Latin America. The level of cocaine trafficking and
production of high causing threats to major countries like the United States. The threat was
made united States issued a policy war on drugs against Bolivia. Coca plant has been part of the
traditional culture of Bolivian society to meet the needs of daily life. Culture led to increased
trade and circulation of cocaine production have threatened major countries like the United
States. Addressing these threats, the United States issued a policy war on drugs to Bolivia in
cooperation with the government of Bolivia. The cooperation policy turns negative effect on
security of Bolivia with much of the killing, torture and human rights violations against the
population and coca farmer in Bolivia
