Abstract:
This research aims to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes By applying the model type Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative. Learning in class IV SDN 006 Penarikan, Sub District of Langgam. District of Pelalawan, even semester of academic year 2011/2012. This study uses action research. This is done in two cycles. The subjects studied were students of class IV SDN 006 by the number of 22 people. Students in the class are heterogeneous in terms of academic and academic and gender. Student activities and learning outcomes data obtained by collecting activity data using observation sheets and daily test. Analisys of the data used is descriptive statistical analysis that describes the activities of teachers and students, the analysis of learning outcomes and measuring success. The results of the first cycle found that the percentage of students who achieve KKM is 68% and the second cycle was 59%, which increases the percentage of the previous measures only 68%, and the award is based on the first cycle of the whole team is awarded a super team, whereas in the second cycle of awarded the whole team a great team. The conclusion from this study show that the model type Student Teans Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning can improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes.
