Abstract:
The research was carried out at PT. World Marine Internusa in order to determine the effect of discipline and work environment, either partially or simultaneously as well as analyzing the dominant factor affecting the performance of the employees. The benefits of this research can be a valuable input for the company to improve the performance of employees with respect to those aspects of discipline and improvement of the working environment perceived by employees. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Where is the technique of data collection was conducted by interviews and questionnaires as well as documentation. The research sample census conducted on 31 employees. The data analysis used multiple linear regression method and hypothesis testing performed by the F test, t test and the coefficient of determination (R2). Based on the results of the study concluded that the variable discipline and work environment have a significant and positive impact on employee performance simultaneously. Partially, the variables that most strongly influence the performance of an employee is working discipline. 83.2% of the employee's performance is affected by the variations that occur in the discipline and work environment. The study recommends that companies perform some repairs on particular aspects of the discipline in the determination of the priority tasks and compliance methods / procedures work. The company also suggested to improve the work environment almost all conditions are still poor today.
