Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was motivated by the importance of the duties and functions of municipal police in Riau Province in carrying out their duties to secure local regulations issued Riau provincial government, what law will be effective based on the author's observation duty municipal police functions Riau not fit properly, to improve performance Riau Province municipal police education and training need to be held. The purpose of this study to see how the implementation of the municipal police training members of Riau and how well the relationship between performance and executive training to municipal police performance Riau Province. In this study the authors refer to the theoretical concepts proposed by Thoha (2005: 65) about the concept of training and performance presented by Sedarmayanti (2003: 152) while that which is the object of the study are members of Satpol PP whose job in the field, namely the control and operational techniques taken 50 people based on census results that the implementation of training members of municipal police in Riau Province large partly done quite well and having assessed the performance is also quite well with the results of the category while the relationship between members of municipal police training variable Riau province with its performance after tested with statistics. Hubunngan product moment formula apparently significant relationship means nothing is good enough. With the results of the study concluded that the implementation of training members of municipal police in Riau Province pretty good and pretty good performance after implementing training and relationship between the two variables proved to be quite good.
