Abstract:
ABSTRAK
Nosocomial infection still become a problem in hospital s in Indonesia
and the world. More than 20% of nosocomial infection occur in the intensive care
unit (ICU). One of the most common cause is Pseudomonas sp. This descriptive
research aimed to identify the resistance pseudomonas sp in patients hospitalized
more than 48 hours at ICU’s room of Arifin Achmad hospital Riau Province in
the period of October 2011 – January 2012. Of the 17 patients obtained 6
Pseudomonas sp strains were isolated. The result show that, Pseudomonas sp
resistant to ampisilin, amoxicillin/clavulinic acid, tetracycline, levofloxacin.
