Abstract:
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to determine how the performance of the
functions of coordination in the prevention and flood control was implemented.
While the methods used in this research is a qualitative method, wherein the method
is demonstrated to research procedures that produce qualitative data that phrase or
note observed.
The results of this study showed that exercising the functions of coordination
Pekanbaru City Government in the prevention and flood control in the city of
Pekanbaru not run with the maximum, , This is because the implementation of
coordination meetings conducted Executing Unit for Disaster Management (Satlak
PB) with the institutions involved are not going well, so that the expected results are
not optimal.
The conclusion of this research is the implementation of Disaster
Management Unit (Satlak PB) Pekanbaru City is an institution established by the
Government of the menangai Pekanbaru disasters including catastrophic flooding
problem in the city of Pekanbaru where policy / general rules issued Pekanbaru City
Government in tackling disasters flooding is Pekanbaru Mayor Decree No. 49 Year
2009 on the establishment of Disaster Management Implementation Units (Satlak PB)
Pekanbaru.
It is done by the City of Pekanbaru on prevention and flood control in the city
of Pekanbaru not run with the maximum, this is due to the implementation of the
coordination meetings conducted Executing Unit for Disaster Management (Satlak
PB) with the relevant agencies is very limited and not fully implemented.
