dc.description.abstract |
Supercapacitor is a device energy storage that consisted of electrode, current collector and
separator. Electrode is made from carbon that found in biomass. The synthesis of stinky bean
peel carbon electrode was done well. The synthesis was started by drying the sample under
sun ray, and then dried using an oven at temperature of 110° C and continued for
precarbonization on 250° C for 2 hours and 30 minutes. The samples were given 0,7 M KOH
as chemical activator then be formed with hydraulic press. Samples were carbonized with N2
at temperature of 600°C and activated with CO2 temperature of 850°C. The samples pellet
were polished before immersing in H2SO4 for 48 hours. The samples were tested for their
electrochemical properties. The electrochemical properties were tested by cyclic voltametry
method on scan rate of 1 mV/s, 2 mV/s, 5 mV/s and 10 mV/s scan rate. The highest specific
capacitance on sample is 207,14 F/g on 1 mV/s scan rate, energy density 28,77 Wh/kg and
power density is 103,67 W/kg. |
