Abstract:
The Mimosa pudica is a South American and Central American plant that is
commonly found in Indonesia. Mimosa pudica is used as a herbal medicine in
Indonesia to treat a variety of diseases. However, the toxicity of this plant has not
been thoroughly investigated. The toxicity test results using the Brine Shirmp
Lethality Test (BSLT) method revealed that the crude extract of n-hexane, EtOAc,
water, and its fraction was not toxic, on the other hand DCM extract showed
LC50 value of 39,81 ppm and consider as toxic.
