Abstract:
Palm oil is one of the sources of foreign exchange income for the country, because
Indonesia is the largest producer of palm oil in the world. The quality of the palm oil produced
is based on the level of maturity. Production of fruit with good quantity is able to produce
23.2−27.4% CPO yield. Farmers find it difficult to know the level of oil content in oil palm
fruit due to limited measuring instruments, while the selling price of palmiqiqbal oil depends
on the oil content. In this study, an electronic impedance circuit with an excitation voltage
source from a multi I / O Card PCI 6251 National Instrument based on LabVIEW software
was developed which will measure the impedance and real values of the oil content of the oil
palm fruit. The process of measuring the impedance of oil palm fruit is carried out by injecting
an AC current using copper electrodes into the palm fruit where the frequency parameters
ranging from 10 Hz - 50KHz are varied using LabVIEW software. Measurements were made
using tenera-type palms with time variations of 0 hours until 4 hours and it was found that the
impedance value is increasing with time.
