dc.description.abstract Stenochlaena palustris is a species of the genus Stenochlaena that grows in swampy areas and around palm trees, where it frequently forms dense thickets and spreads to cover the ground. Numerous species in this genus have been reported to be antioxidants and antibacterial agents. The purpose of this study is to evaluate antibacterial activity of the extract plants S. palustris. Antibacterial activity was determined using the agar diffusion technique. The extracts of S. palustris were used at a concentration of 30 μg, the antibiotic amoxsan® was used as a positive control, and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) was used as a negative control. The results indicated that the extracts depicted various activities antibacterial Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. en_US
