dc.description.abstract Doping by transition metal ions is conducted as an effort to reduce the bandgap and shift the light absorption region. In this study, the manganese oxides were first synthesized by reflux method and doped with ion Ag+ by wet impregnation technique. The effect of doping Ag+ on the structure of the manganese oxide was investigated by XRD. The XRD results indicated that the doping 1% and 10% Ag+ with time reflux of 6 hours tend to produce the tunnel structure of cryptomelane, whereas higher Ag+ dopant concentration generated the mixture of cryptomelane and birnessite-type manganese oxide. Under optimum condition, the maximum degradation of MB was 94.798% achieved using Ag-MnO2 doped with 10% Ag+. en_US
