Abstract
Work satisfaction needs endorsement from many factors, and the most important
endorsement is leadership. To reach a good achievement in organization always needs job
satisfaction. In this case, leadership has important role. The more appropiate the style of
leadership which is done with the situation and condition is, the more effective motivation
which is needed for the employee to get good achievement.
This research is aimed to study empirically the effect of leadership style which
includes telling, selling, participating, and delegating, to job satisfaction. The mark being
researched is frontliner employee, which respondents are taked from the employee of
Hypermart Pekanbaru.
The result of this research shows that simultaneous sub variables of leadership style
have significant effect to job satisfaction. The effect of leadership style to work satisfaction is
0.644 or 41,5 percent with significance level of 0.000.
