Abstract
Outcomes Problems in the study of mathematics learning outcomes is low.there are many students
who do not understand the basic concepts and tend to memorize examples.It appears in the
completion of a matter, when in school lessons or a day has not changed recently described the
students could do well but when students are working at home, already changed the day or daily
test results are not good even just answer likely origin. This is evident from the percentage of test
scores of students who achieve KKM (Minimum Criteria for completeness) in fifth grade
elementary school district 46 Milky Elephant Saber Bengkalis for material "Denomination" is
58.07% of the 31 students. The KKM set school at 65. Of these problems have to do with action
research menerapkanMetode recitation. This study aims to determine whether the application of
this method can increase the recitation mathematics learning o utcomes Elementary School fifth
grade students Milky Elephant 46 school year 2012/2013 the number of students with 31 students
.The research was conducted in two cycles, the first cycle consists of three meetings with the
replications day, cycle II also consists of three meetings with one daily test. The research was
conducted in two cycles, the first cycle consists of three data collection instruments in this study is
teacher observation sheet, observation sheets and tests students' daily tests.percentage of
completeness on the basis of scores 54.83% to 63% in the first cycle and the second cycle to be
87.09%. Use of data collection instruments and sheet obseravasi teacher student activity during
learning process takes place in the fifth grade elementary sc hool district 46 Milky Elephant Saber
Bengkalis. From the above it shows that through the application of recitation method can Improve
