Abstract
The research was based by social studies result in fourth grades of SDN 16 Talang
Mandi Kecamatan Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis. This rsearch aims to improve
social studies result fourth grade students of SDN 16 Talang mandi kecamatan
Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis with implementation of Cooperative Learning
Model. The research was held in the month of January to March 2013 in two
cycles. The subjects were fourth graders totaling 37 people consisting of 24 male
students and 13 female students. Method in this study is action research. The data
in this research were all teachers, student activities, and social studies result with
the implementation of cooperative learning model. Activities of teachers in the
first cycle reached 70.31% with enough categories and the second cycle was
90.34% with a good category. An increase of 20%. Activities of students in the
first cycle 71.42% (excellent) and the second cycle of 83.92% (excellent). An
increase of 12.5%. Average - the average social studies result in basic score is
62.70% and in the first cycle was 68.10% and an increase of 5.40% and the
second cycle was 91.35% an increase of 28.65% from baseline score . The
implementation of the Cooperative Learning model to improve social studies
result fourth grade students of SDN 16 Talang Mandi Kecamatan Mandau
Kabupaten Bengkalis.
