Abstract:
Learning result of students' social studies on fourth grades SD Negeri 72 Harapan Baru
Kecamatan Mandau even the school year 2012/2013 is still low. Values obtained by the
students is This study was aimed to improve the results of the fourth grade social studies
SD Negeri 72 Harapan Baru Kecamatan Mandau by applying the Inquiry Models. On
Subjects were 30 students. Implementation of Research from February until May 2013.
First to second meetings and ended with replications. First cycle, of second cycle
meetings and ended with replications. The research instrument consisted of a sheet of
teacher activity, student activity sheets, and achievement test. In the process of learning
from cycle 1 to cycle 2 has increased. Increased activity in the first cycle beginning
teachers score of 58.3% on 1 meeting with enough categories, increasing to 75% in the
second meeting, while the second cycle of the first meeting with a score of 91.6% is very
good category increased 97.2% in the second meeting . Increased activity of students in
the first cycle the original score of 67% on 1 meeting with enough categories, increasing
to 78% in the second meeting, while the second cycle of the first meeting with a score of
89% is very good category increased 97% in the second meeting. Then, improving
student learning result, the average value before action 1 58.00 increased to 65.00
(12%), after 2 actions to 74.00 (28%). Mastery of the student learning result 11.00 (36%)
increased baseline 19.00 (64%) in the first cycle to 27 (90%) in the second cycle. Based on
the results of this study concluded that the implementation of inquiry models can
improve learning result of social studies fourth grade SD Negeri 72 Harapan Baru
Kecamatan Mandau.
