Abstract
This research has been conducted to determine the infiltration rate of the soil water at Riau University, Tampan districs, Pekanbaru City, with a single ring infiltrometer method. Infiltration studies were conducted at 4 points and there are 2 measurements, each point 60 cm and 80 cm depth. Measurement results show the value of each drop of water by ground stager, then process with the excel program to obtain the value of the slope (m) and the value of the constant (k) of each measurement. Data is analized to obtain the rate of infiltration at any point. The results of the first observation point, Riau University Hospital, of 80 cm and 60 cm depth are 3,6 cm/hour and 3,6 cm/hour. The results of the second observation point, Rectorate of Riau University, of 80 cm and 60 cm depth are 3,6 cm/hour and 4,8 cm/hour. The results of the third observation point, Mini Stadium of Riau University, of 80 cm and 60 cm depth are
2,4 cm/hour and 3,6 cm/hour. The result of the fourth observation point, Riau Main
Stadium, of 80 cm and 60 cm depth are 2,4 cm/hour and 3,6 cm/hour. The average
value of infiltration shows that the University of Riau has land with moderate
infiltration.
