Abstract
The focus ofproblem in this research is study learning result on SD Negeri 009 Padang Kunik is
still low, only 28.57% of students who achieved KKM with an average value of 59.29. Based
onthe results of the research can be concluded that the implementation ofthe PAKEM learning
model can beimprove student learning result IPS on class IV SD Negeri 009 Padang Kunik
Pangean. Improvement of learning resultis seen: the average value of the base score is 59.2.At the
first cycle is 60.48 and the second cycle in creased be 80.95. From the base score to the first cycle
in creased 2.09%, and from the base score to the second cycle in creased 36.55%. Results
ofclassical learningin the first cycle isonly 7(33.33%) who achieved KKM then in creased to 16
(76.19%) in the second cycle. Improved learning result supported by: the average of teacher’s
activity in implementing the learning. In the first meeting only 70.00%. At the second meeting in
creased be 75.00%. At the third meeting increased be 80.00%. At the fourth meeting increased be
92.50%. Percentage of student learning activities in the first cycle the first meeting only 65.00%.
At the second meeting in creased be 70.00%. At the third meeting increased be 75.00%. At the
fourth meeting increased be 90.50%.
