Abstract
This study aims to determine: 1) an overview of creativity that students educated
parents graduated from junior high to high school graduating class VII SMP 23 in
Pekanbaru. 2) description of the creativity of students who graduated from high
school educated parents in SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru.3) Are there differences in
creativity education students whose parents graduated from junior high school
with her parents graduated from high school in SMP 23 Pekanbaru. Creativity is
the ability of reflecting fluency, flexibility and originality in thinking and the
ability to elaborate (develop, enrich) the idea (Utami Jojo, 2002:50). Population is
the whole subject of the study, the population in this study are students of class
VII as many as 9 class consists of class VII A, VIIB, VII C, D VII, VII E, F VII,
VII G, H VII, and VII I. Sample is representative of the majority or the population
studied. Consists of all 4 classes namely class VIIVII A, VII E, F VII and VII I
by 138 students. Based on the results obtained someconclusions related to the
creativity of students whose parents graduated fromjunior high school in
Pekanbaru 23, among others: 1) Creativity of students who graduated from junior
high school educated parents in class VII SMP 23 Pekanbaru of 48 students, most
of which considered to be higher than the creativity of high school students. 2)
Creativity of students who graduated from high school educated parents in class
VII SMP 23 Pekanbaru of 90 students, most students have high creativity in SMP
23 Pekanbaru. There are differences in learning creativity educated students
whose parents graduated from junior high school with her parents graduated from
high school in class VII SMP 23 Pekanbaru because the value of t is greater than t
table (39.12> 2.09)
