Abstract:
Based on the writer’s experience as a teacher in the class III SD Negeri 149 Pekanbaru, student’s
domination on mathematics learning pertained to lower. It can be seen from daily repetition
outcome which is not complete. From 34 students which reached KKM 72 was 12 people (35%)
with average value 60. Study process had been using is conventional learning model that is deliver
a lecture, question and answer, give the task and also the learning dominated by the teacher and
pittance to wrap the students. Besides, students not be given the opportunity to reconstruct by
themself in replying practice problem given by the teacher. Based on that supervision require to
conduct a research to increase students learning outcome at wide and round of square and length
square material by using PMR. This research is Classroom Action Research which used 4 steps,
consist of planning, action, observing, and reflection. In its execution, this research conducted in 2
cycles. Both of two cycles conducted twice action. At the end of the cycle performed a cycle
repetition to know the increase of student learning outcome in the class III SD Negeri 149
Pekanbaru at wide and round of square and length square material. Based on result of the
research obtained that learning outcome at wide and roud of square and length square material
students class III SD Negeri 149 Pekanbaru increase. It shown at cycle repetition I, student’s
average value increased 21,62 point from basic score 60 become 81,62. In cycle II increased 4,26
point from cycle I become 85,88
