Abstract:
In the learning process that is usually done teachers tend to explain the material, providing sample
questions and giving training to the students, after correcting exercises performed by students. So, it
seems that teachers are taking on the role of science and students as recipients of knowledge that
students are passive in the learning process. Therefore conducted a study to apply the theory of
Bruner. The application of the theory of Bruner gives a new feel to the students as the students learn to
make flat and woke up to use the media space, make learning more interesting. The purpose of this
research is to improve students' mathematics achievement in grade VA 30 public elementary schools
Pekanbaru. This research is a form of collaborative action research class, which consists of 4 stages
in each cycle, including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research was
conducted as many as 3 cycles .. Observations of all teachers in the percentage of first cycle of 73.61%
with both categories increased to 83.33% with very good category in the second cycle (9.72% of the
increase) increased to 93.05% with very good category in the third cycle (large 9.72% increase).
While the percentage of student activity in the first cycle was 72.22% in both categories increased to
81.94% with very good category in the second cycle (9.72% of the increase) increased to 90.28% with
very good category in the third cycle ( 8:34% of the increase). Based on the data analysis and
discussion of the study, the average increase in student learning outcomes. Large increase student
learning outcomes of the learning that occurs is the average value of the basic score increased to
72.65 at 69.68 first cycle increased by 2.97 points (4.26%), rose to 75.31 in the second cycle increases
at 5, 63 points (8.07%), rose to 78.43 in the third cycle increased by 8.75 points (12.55%). Percentage
of completeness results in the classical study on the basis of scores is 37.50% increase to 53.12% in
the first cycle, increased again in the second cycle 6 8.75%, rising again on the third cycle of 90.62%.
It can be concluded that the application of Bruner's Theory Can Improve Student Learning Outcomes
