Abstract:
Purpose of this study is to describe how learning achievement of students who have low
class VIII SMPN 13 PEKANBARU Academic Year 2012/2013, before being held group
counseling, to describe how students have lower academic achievement class VIII SMPN
13 Pekanbaru, held after the group counseling,and to determine the effect of pre-and post
held group counseling services, on student learning achievement are low class VIII SMPN
13 PEKANBARU.Work not only tells issues.Learning is not an automatic consequence and
reflection information into the minds of students.Learning requires mental involvement and
students own work.While the indicator is a way of learning tasks and clear, learn to read
well, memorize, learn and master difficult parts in learning, make an outline, do the
question, sharing learning time, use resources in astudent, studying maps charts tables,
make a summary.Assumption of this study is that each student has a low learning
achievement of different learning styles, student learning which has a low learning
achievement can be measure and indentified indicators.In the study sample was 20. Data
collection tool used was a questionnaire how to learn.Result obtained by comparing the t
value with the table value of t at the level of learning 5% (6,65> 2,042). Seen that the value
6,65 is higher than the table value of t 2,042.Thus it can be concluded there are significant
guidance significant between student groups in a way that low achievers class VIII SMPN
13 PEKANBARU Academic Year 2012/2013.
