Abstract
This study is about “the Socialization in superior class of the case study in
SMP As-Shofa Pekanbaru”. This research means to explain about the student’s
characteristic of superior class, the school socialization process at superior class
student, and explains about the student’s opinion at school socialization on
superior class student.
This research was located in SMP As-Shofa Pekanbaru. The sample
pulling technique in this research was with census method where all populations
were become sample because the reached relative population amount was 32
superior students. This research data analyze was done by using quantitative
method, then it was explained descriptively and the data was arranged into
suitable table.
Based on the result from data analyze, the conclusion from the
characteristic of superior class student was 13 years old, most of student’s parents
are educated, they work, and they have high income. The process of school
socialization on superior class student ran well and easy. It was because that the
student understood and did all kinds of values and norms which were given by
school well. The role expectations of the school for superior class student has not
been told well yet, it was because the teacher in socialization always did in the
name of superior class must be better than regular student in all fields so that the
students were given many kinds of demands so that the superior class student
became better than regular student. In accordance with the theory of symbolic
interactionism, the superior class student tends to behave based on superior
symbol which was given by school.
