Abstract
This research is caused by the low of PKn result of X grade student at public
senior high school 12 Pekanbaru which is affected to the achievement they got. The
formulation of problem in this study is does the use of cooperative learning type Mind
Mapping influenced positive and significant impact on the result of learning PKn of X grade
student at public senior high school 12 Pekanbaru? The goal of this research is "To
Know the Influence Using Cooperative Learning methods of Mind Mapping type for the
learn result of civic education of X grade students at SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru”.
This research was conducted at public senior high school 12 Pekanbaru on
September 2012 until December 2012, the population in this research is all X grade
students ( male and female student) of public senior high school Pekanbaru and the
number of the student is 158 students, the sample of this research is X2 and X4 class
numbered 78 students
.
The result of the research shows the average of the student’s score who is
taught using coperative learning methode ofMind Mappingtype is 68,8 before the
techniques was used and 78,55 score after the the technique was used. On the other
hand the average point of the student who is taught by using the other methode is 70
and 72,68. Based on T-test analysis, the value of t for two class (experiment and
control) is tcount>ttableor 3,12 >2,000 which means there is an significat influence as
many as 5% between the result of the the students who are taught by learning
coperative methode of Mind Mappingtype and the result of student who is taught
without cooperative learning methode ofMind Mappingtype, in conclusion the
hypothesis which is posed is acceptable. Based on The increasing of the average of
experiment class which is higher than the average point of control class, it can be
summerized that using cooperative learning methode ofMind Mappingtypegive
positive and significant influence in increasing the result of learning Pkn
